Colorado Costume Castle has an estimated 3000 costumes that can be mixed and matched to create the "essence" of many characters.To give you an idea click the following choices to further explore the possibilities. With safety pins, tucks, sashes, we usually can make things work, even for the elementary age youth. It always worth the time to check and see "if"...... When looking for a certain character or costume, be as specific as possible. If you know the name of the character, share it. This will save a lot of time at appointments as it offers time to come up with possibilities before your arrival. There was no inventory when bought and although an attempt was made at the beginning, that task was given up and the inventory has been built the same way it was built by the previous owner - in my head. The old "cliche" that "a picture is worth a thousand words" is absolutely true. If you can share a picture of "what you had in mind" I don't have to put my Johnny Carson "Carnac the Magnificent" skills to work and try to read your mind.“The method of picking out a costume can vary from one-on-one visits to “trusting our judgment and selection." The method is based on the current health status and is an effort to serve your needs while keeping everyone safe. Everyone at the Castle has been fully vaccinated. As time deems it is safe for clientele to do try-on's (based on occupancy limits, masks and social distancing status) at the Costume Castle, there are dressing rooms to accommodate the try on's. If a theater cast needs try-on's, the director will be allowed to schedule no more than 3 students and 1 adult (max of 4 inside at one time) every 30 minutes. There is a small "entry" waiting area if shifts overlap. Or.....Costumes may be picked out by director ahead of time as well and try-ons' done off-site and what does not work can be returned.
